Senior Tax Manager

As a seasoned tax professional
with partnership aspirations, this is the opportunity
of a lifetime.
Our client firm’s
eight partners are innovative, dedicated and passionate,
have a varied and interesting mix of work and are committed
to work life balance for their staff and themselves,
and have a track record for promoting staff to partners.
Their high-end offices are located in the ‘heart
of the action’ in the Toronto financial district.
There is good potential
for partnership as they execute their commitment to
increase their staff and grow. You will be working with
a diverse mix of clients, which include established
Toronto owner-managed businesses as well as nurses,
chiropractors and professional bodies.
This is an exciting opportunity
to play a critical role in their clients’ strategic
decisions as part of the client's management team, in
an innovative and forward thinking public accounting
firm.
You need to be a CA, have
completed the CICA in-depth tax course, and have ten
years experience of solid public accounting experience.
You need to be comfortable
dealing with owner-managed organizations and be very
confident sitting in front of the partners and answering
questions on owner managed issues.
Experience
and Qualifications
Predominant
experience with owner-managed businesses
Good written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in tax research
Experience with the review of corporate, personal, trust
and partnership returns
Ability to resolve CRA disputes
Willing to take on administrative tasks
Education
Accounting designation
(CA)
Completion of tax in-depth courses
Preferably 2 years post in-depth
Compensation
around $150k but if you are exceptional and very senior
you could be looking at $200k.
