Job Title: Staff Accountant/Technician
Salary: $50,000 to $60,000

The Opportunity

Our client is a progressive two partner firm looking for an experienced accounting technician or staff accountant

This position involves managing a group of clients and includes the execution of bookkeeping services, bookkeeping consulting and training, planning and execution of compilation engagements and preparation of personal and corporate income tax returns.

Responsibilities include:

• Bookkeeping and/or bookkeeping training for smaller assignments using primarily Quicken or QuickBooks
• Planning and execution of compilation engagements including initial and ongoing discussions with the clients, preparation of planning section with detailed budgets, analysis with documentation and conclusions for each financial statement item and drafting of financial statements
• Preparing corporate and personal income tax returns.

Experience and Education:

• You will have your CGA designation, or be very close to completing it
• The successful candidate will have 3 years of public practice experience with entrepreneurial owner-managed clients
• You will be an advanced user of QuickBooks and Quicken
• You will be at least an intermediate user of Caseware / Caseview and Taxprep
