Job
Title: Senior
Manager, Partner after one year for the right candidate
Salary:
$120,000
to $150,000 plus many benefits
The
Opportunity
An
unusual opportunity has arisen at a prestigious public accounting
firm in Iqaluit, Nunavut. The two resident partners - both originally
from Southern Ontario - have developed a thriving practice that
provides a wide range of services to the local community and beyond.
Working
in such an unusual location isn't for everyone, but those who
like it, simply love it!
As
the senior manager, you will bring with you a strong background
in auditing, including up to date handbook knowledge.
Being
responsible for many high profile audits, such as Regional Inuit
Associations, Cities, Hamlets, Government Bodies and Not-For-Profit
organizations, and the trading entities they own, you will be
the consummate professional, be able to plan a workload, manage
staff and deliver a high quality product to your clients.
You
will be approachable and you'll need a sense of humour, for sure!
But the biggest 'soft' skill you'll have is your ability to develop
relationships with people who truly welcome you into their community.
One
of the great things you'll notice about the clients of this firm,
is that, unlike on Bay Street, where clients simply want you out
of the way as soon as possible, here clients are genuinely pleased
to see you and want your help.
If
you have a sense of adventure, like winter sports, enjoy a small
rural community and truly want an opportunity to make a difference
to the clients you serve, here's your chance!
Just
minutes away from the site of the original Hudson's Bay Trading
Company post, this is a location rich in history and full of natural
beauty. We know, we've been there!
The
community has a rich and thriving social network offering anything
you could get in the big city, including a squash club, 2 cinemas,
several quality hotels, restaurants and bars, a karate club, curling,
hockey, good supermarkets and stores, chess club and just about
anything else you could think of.
High
quality living accommodation (we've been there and checked it
out for you) is provided free of charge to the successful candidate,
together with time off and paid-for flights home during the year.
One of the existing partners responded to an ad like this ten
years ago and after 12 months became a partner - so they have
a proven track record in doing exactly what we're talking about
here.
