Opportunity
Administration Manager - Public Accounting Firm
Our client, is a well established firm in the Burlington/Oakville
area with a strong history with and connection to their local
community.
We
are looking for an excellent administrator, entrepreneurial thinker
and consumate professional to provide administrative leadership for the firm
as it grows over the next few years.
This
is a critical role, providing key support services to the Managing
Partner, you will be involved in a great deal of strategic decision
making, policy setting and administrative matters, with a small
support staff to help you achieve your goals.
You will report to the Managing Partner and be
responsible for the firm’s day-to-day operating activities,
including revenue growth; expense management, cost and margin
control, WIP and Receivables management; and monthly, quarterly
and annual financial goal setting and management.
This
is a key role in the firm, and you will look after daily optimization
of various operations in different departments of the firm. This
could include: IT, A/R and A/P, marketing, client service and
human resources, the job description entails activities pertaining
to monitoring the performance of each of these departments.
Responsibilities
• Direct
firm operations to meet budget and other financial goals.
• Direct
short-term and long-range planning and budget development to support
strategic business goals.
• Establish
the performance goals, allocate resources, and assess policies
for senior management.
• Direct
and participate in growth activities to support overall business
objectives and plans.
• Participate
in business development activities, including participation in
road shows, bank meetings, seminars & presentations, and more.
• Develop,
establish, and direct execution of operating policies to support
overall company policies and objectives.
• Assume
overall responsibility for the firm’s web site, brochure,
newsletter and other marketing collateral
• Develop
relationships with key suppliers and other organizations that
add value to the firm’s objectives
• Attend
and participate in regular partner meetings as required from time
to time
• Manage
and motivate teams within the firm to perform at their optimum
levels of client service and profitability
• Give
suggestions and advise management for making key changes in planning
of various issues and business decisions.
Requirements
• Excellent
interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation
skills.
• Solid
working knowledge of budgeting, sales, business development, and
strategic planning.
• Ability
to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies.
•
At least 10 years of experience, with 5 in an executive or managerial
level position, within a professional services firm.
• Some
experience within a public accounting firm would be desirable,
but not necessarily essential.
