Originally a part of MFA Group's McIntyre-Smith Consulting (www.mcintyre-smith.com) we created 'I Find CAs' simply to make your life easier.

Let's face it, McIntyre-Smith is a bit of a mouthful, but 'I Find CAs' is simple and easy to remember (and easy to spell correctly too!).

So here we are, in our new format. We hope you like it. Also the 'I' part is really defunct, as we are a team of four, not me on my own anymore! Anyway, for the new visitor, let us give you a quick explanation of who we are and what we do.

We operate as MFA Group Inc, which is a boutique consulting firm, working ONLY with public accounting firms, helping them to grow through recruiting the right people, training and coaching them well, spotting opportunities to find new clients and provide additional services to existing clients, and to grow through merger and/or acquisition.

Ask anyone who uses search firms on a regular basis, and they'll probably tell you to be careful who you choose to work with, and they'd be right!

Unfortunately, there are several firms who have given the profession a bad name.

We are about long term relationships. Today's candidate is tomorrow's client, and we never forget that. Also, today's search client could be tomorrow's merger client, and so on. Public accounting can sometimes be a small world, and we act with integrity, honesty and diligence in all our client and candidate contacts.

Maybe that's why, even though we're only into our fourth year, we're already getting a lot of repeat business as our clients grow and need more people. Maybe it's simply because we do a great job for them. Or maybe it's because we're easy to deal with, efficient and offer great value for money.

We also facilitate a number of Partner Retreats for client firms and our reputation in the marketplace for succession planning for practitioners has grown exponentially in the last two years, as we have assisted many practitioners with selling their firm, and thus helped many firms to grow by acquisition.

Our expertise is recognized by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, as they published our first book, 'The Practitioners Succession Planning Toolkit' in July 2005 and Steve is committed to writing five more books for the Institute during the next two years.
